Crayonauts is a service of Comfort Systems of America INC. This explains what we collect, what we do with it, and how long we keep it. Plain English, no tricks.
The photo is passed to OpenAI through their business API, which turns it into line drawings. That is the only thing we use it for, and we never sell or share it with anyone else. Under OpenAI's current terms, data sent through their API is not used to train their models. OpenAI does keep its own logs for a limited time to police misuse of their service, which is outside our control.
We delete the photo as soon as your book is finished drawing. If a book never finishes — a failure on our end, or an order that was abandoned — anything left over is deleted in the 30-day sweep below.
Your download link works for 30 days. After that we delete the drawings, your email address, the child's name and your notes. Download your PDF and save it somewhere safe — once the 30 days are up we cannot get it back for you.
What survives is a plain sales record: an order number, the date, the amount and the Stripe reference, so our books balance. There is no name, no email and no picture attached to it.
We do not keep your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe, and card numbers never reach our server.
We keep a simple tally of how many people reach each step: the page opened, a photo was uploaded, a preview was asked for, a payment went through. We also record which website linked you here, so we can tell which ones are worth our time.
These counters set no cookies and store nothing on your device. Each time the page loads it makes up a throwaway random number, held in memory only for as long as the page is open, so that one person clicking twice is not counted as two people. It is never written to your browser, never reused on a later visit, and never attached to your name, email address or order. We do not use Google Analytics or any other outside tracking service. These counts contain nothing personal, so we keep them for up to 180 days.
When you start an order, your browser saves your order number and the private key that goes with it. That is what lets the payment page send you back here, and what proves the book is yours when you come back to download it. It is the only thing this site stores on your device, it never leaves your browser, and clearing your site data removes it — along with your ability to re-download that book from that device.
We use a small number of outside services to run this, and only what each one needs is shared with it:
This service is sold to adults. You must be 18 or older to place an order. Children do not create accounts here and we do not knowingly collect information directly from a child. The photo is uploaded by an adult who has the right to share it.
We do not sell your information, we do not run ads, and we do not send marketing email you did not ask for.
A personalized digital coloring book: 15 pages plus a cover, delivered as a PDF you download. It is not a physical product and nothing is shipped.
By uploading a photo you confirm that you are 18 or older, that the photo is yours to use, and that you have permission from the parent or guardian of anyone in it. Do not upload photos of people who have not agreed to it.
The pages are drawn by AI from your photo. It aims for a recognizable likeness but it is an interpretation, not a tracing, and results vary from photo to photo. Clear, front-facing, well-lit photos work best. If you are not happy with the result, the refund policy below covers you.
It is yours for personal use. Print it as many times as you like for your own family. Please do not resell it, redistribute it, or use it commercially.
Your download link stays live for 30 days. Save the PDF before then — after that it is deleted and cannot be recovered.
We may decline or cancel an order and refund it — for example if a photo breaks these terms, or if we cannot produce a usable book from it.
We do our best to keep the service running and your book available, but we provide it as-is. Our responsibility to you is limited to refunding what you paid.
We make no guarantee about artistic interpretation or facial accuracy. The art is generated, not hand-drawn to order, and we cannot promise a particular resemblance, style or level of detail. If the result disappoints you, the refund policy below is your remedy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.
You see two finished pages of your own photo before you pay anything, so you know what the art looks like before you spend a cent. After that, here is how we handle problems.
If your book never arrived, or pages are missing or broken, tell us. We will finish it or refund you in full — your choice. This one is simple: our fault, our problem.
Email us within 14 days and we will redraw your book once, free. Send a different photo or tell us what you would rather see, and we will run it again. Most disappointing results come down to the photo — a clearer, front-facing, well-lit one usually fixes it.
If you are still not happy after the redraw, we will refund you half of what you paid. By that point we have drawn your book twice, and this splits the cost of that between us.
We do not refund a book that came out as described simply because you changed your mind after downloading it. The free preview is there so you can decide before buying.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Stripe usually takes 5–10 business days to post it, depending on your bank.
